Every year, in April, the Coachella Festival takes place: on the 10th of April began the 2015 edition, and it will end on the 19th, launching the international summer concerts season!
But…what does we know about this festival?
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a music and art festival which, since 1999, happens every year in California, in the Empire Polo Fields in Indio, known, also, as the Coachella Valley.
In this valley, surrounded by an endless desert, from noon to midnight, in 12 hours non-stop, every day there are concerts of electronic, hip pop, rock and indie music, with international fame artists and bands.
Some names of the 2015 edition? The legendary meeting of AC-DC, Kiesza, George Ezra, Alesso, Hozier, Bad Religion, Drake, Saint Motel, Stromae, David Guetta, etc. But the stars are not only on the stage!
Coachella, indeed, is also famous for the presence of many celebs: singers, actors, teen idols, fashion bloggers and it-girls, who take the opportunity to having fun, listening to good music and showing trendy outfits, according to the “Coachella style”, a mix of ground style (with very strong mentions to the colours of ground and to the patterns of nature, such as leaves and flowers) and the legendary 70s.
Now Coachella is a must-event for the famous Italian blogger Chiara Ferragni, for it-girls such as Alexa Chung and Alessandra Ambrosio, for the Hilton sisters, and for many American TV series actors loved by younger: they incessantly posting their Selfies and pics on major social networks dictating the fashion and “in” outfit for this festival.
In addition, many fast fashion and luxury brands have proposed capsule collection specially designed to embody the indie-gypsy mood of the Californian event.
Coachella style is particularly influenced by the location in the desert: for this reason it is a very summery style, and we can inspire to it in the coming months, when temperatures will rise in our country!
At this point, what should be the features of a pure Coachella outfit?
As we said before, we have to remember that the desert and the heat are two elements very important, such as the musical atmosphere, the soft fields and the stunning sunsets before the evening.
Last editions have taught us that, although there is a well-defined Coachella style, during the festival we can see looks of all types, dark or extremely hippy; in any case, the must-pieces of a Coachella outfit are:
– “Long dress”, dresses or long skirts, white or with nature prints;
– Destroyed denim shorts, blue or white;
– Light cotton tank , crop tops and shirts in light colours;
– Vest in jeans or suede, and rich in fringes;
– Micro-bags and handbags, in leather or suede, decorated with fringes;
– Sandals, ankle boots or trainers in light fabric;
– Vintage sunglasses and big hats;
– Bracelets and leather straps, necklaces, earrings with feathers, rings, in ethnic style.
Everything has to be accorded to romantic decorations in white lace and fringes, especially for accessories and shoes.
