December has arrived also this year: if the snow and the cold are slow to be seen and felt, there are cities around us reminding that soon we will celebrate Christmas.

Already by mid-November has appeared the first decorations along the main courses and then in shops and department stores: now, from some days, have been set up even the Christmas markets, in their characteristics and pretty wooden houses or in the stands and booth in which appear ornaments for pine trees, cribs or candy sweet tooth of our traditions or those of the Nordic countries of Europe.

If you wish to spend some relaxing time surrounded by the Christmas atmosphere, here there are some of the most beautiful Christmas markets you can visit!

The most famous Christmas Street Markets are in Trentino-Alto Adige: in Merano you can enjoy, with your children, a ride on the train or the new chocolate factory. In Bolzano, however, you’ll be fascinated by the Christkindlmarkt, wooden houses, that offer Christmas decorations and furnishings for the home and sweet presents to give and put under the Christmas tree.

However, if you aim to the gastronomy side of this period, you definitely cannot miss the appointment with the markets of Veronafrom November 21st to December 28th: in this period the city dresses with spectacular and giant Christmas trees and, above all, stands full of delicious foods. Through the Nuremberg Market in Piazza dei Signori, you will be overwhelmed by the scents of Nordic sweet, aroma of cinnamon and of spirits. The gem is the International Festival of the Nativity in the art and tradition, a collection of over 400 pieces of nativity scenes from around the world.

Speaking of food, you will also like visiting the German Christmas Market in Piazza Santa Croce in Florence: the city cradle of the Renaissance, from 30th November to 18th December, the typical Florentine accent is replaced by that of German merchants who set up their wood houses full of goods theme, surrounded by music performances, dance and small orchestras and musical concerts.

Also Milan is full of events: in fact, for the entire month of December in Piazza Duomo and San Babila you can cheer your days walking through the markets; at the Indro Montanelli Gardens in Porta Venezia you can even visit the Villaggio delle Meraviglie (December 6th to January 11th), a magical place where children and adults could have fun trying out so many rides, attending theater and cinema shows, ice-skating and vaulting around the gastronomic Christmas market.

Finally, impossible not to mention the Presepi of Via San Gregorio Armeno: the last month of the year is the best time to discover this famous street in Naples where you can admire both the classical statues of the crib and those dedicated to the characters of the original entertainment or politics. A real art form that blends the Christmas markets, the lights and the warmth of the people of the south Italy. Not to be missed!

Obviously, because of the lower temperatures, during our walks around the markets we need to cover us as much as possible not to suffer the cold: do not forget, then, scarf and gloves and, above all, a cute hat that protects our hair! The best tip? To protect them from aggressive action of external agents just remind to use products for hair with keratin or argan oil.

In this way we could enjoy pleasant walks and capture those magical moments, looking always at the top!
